Money for our Property Rooms

We have got to as professionals let our Government know how things are getting pretty hairy in the retention of DNA evidence and the importance of the preservation. At the present time throughout the nation, property rooms are required by the laws passed to retain and preserve evidence with DNA value for up to 25 years and sometimes indefinitely. The one issue that is not being talked about, funded or included is the the space it requires to follow this law. Property rooms are usually the last "room" thought about when designing for new police departments. The current property rooms range from a closet to using school buses. This is unacceptable !
